The SAS Breeding group was set
up by like-minded breeders to help improve the genetic advancement
of the herds by using reference sires to link all the herds
together.

The group aims to select bulls with good conformation,
locomotion and having good breed character. This should combine
with being in the top quartile for growth and muscle under the
ABRI recording system. Looking to incorporate this with ease
of calving and good milk.
All linkage bulls will have a Quality Beef
Index (GBP) figure in the top 20% for the breed.
All bulls are evaluated each year to keep
the standards we set ourselves. Through this we aim to produce
cattle of high genetic potential with high accuracy.
ALL CATTLE ARE WEIGHT RECORDED.
IF POSSIBLE POLLED BULLS WILL BE SELECTED.
