The SAS Breeding group was set
up by like-minded breeders to help improve the genetic advancement
of the herds by using reference sires to link all the herds
together.
The group selects bulls with good conformation,
frame score, locomotion and having good breed character, incorporating
this with ease of calving and good milk.
All linkage and approved bulls have a Quality
Beef Index and Suckler
Replacement Index figure in
the top 20% for the breed.
Through linkage, we aim to produce cattle
of high genetic merit with high accuracy.
ALL CATTLE ARE WEIGHT RECORDED AND SCANNED.
